This is the middleware that interface Core banking system ,Channels such as:

• Mobile banking
• Internet banking solution

With the kenya interbank transactions switch.

The system is designed to ease the payments between banks by ensuring single-switch connectivity as opposed to the current setup where there are multiple merchants in the network therefore necessitating settlements. The system is based on standard messaging standards:

• ISO8583 Native Interface (Message types 1200, 1210, 1420, 1430, 1804 and 1814) online. Used to connect KBA switch with bank on-line system in real time. Through online interface P2P, debit and credit transactions will be sent.
• Card Suite Native file format (XML) offline. Used for bulk file import from bank to KBA switch. Error transactions will be sent back from switch to bank in this file format. It is also used for reconciliation files.
